And now for something completely sublime. From an island far, far, away came four girls, four flavors and four costumes. The Fantanas. Their mission: to bring fun and coolness to the world. This work catapulted Fanta from the #13 soft drink spot to #7 and the U.S. became the third largest market in 3 years.

One of the funnest parts of creating this campaign was designing the costumes. And those costumes, the dancing, and the earworm ‘Wanta Fanta’ made the Fantanas into a cult sensation. MadTV spoofed the Fantanas twice and college students everywhere tested their skills at costume-making.
